Today marked the start of a weekend of celebrations for the Queen's 90th birthday. It began with the National Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral. Her Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh were joined by 53 members of the royal family including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
William, Kate and Harry arrived together for this morning's service.
The guest of honour made her way into the Cathedral with the Duke of Edinburgh, who is celebrating his 95th birthday today! Happy birthday Prince Philip!
Kate wore a new pale blue coatdress from Catherine Walker.
The Venetian wool coatdress combines elements from the designer's Rosa and Melrose styles. Kate's bespoke design has an embroidered overlay with extends just beyond the hemline, giving the front of the coat a scalloped edge.
The Duchess wore her bespoke cream Jane Taylor hat, first seen for Princess Charlotte’s christening. For jewelry, Kate donned a new pendant necklace paired with her aquamarine and diamond drop earrings. She has worn the earrings on many occasions but they still remain unidentified.
Kate carried her new favorite clutch, the 'Nina' from L.K. Bennett.
They are the 'Gianvito 105' style by Gianvito Rossi. However, the exact colour is unknown. There are a few options available from different stockists in a similar hue. They could in fact all be the same colour but each retailer may have it's own name for the shade. Variations in colour between the stock photos is expected because they would have been taken under different lighting conditions.
ID UPDATE (15/06/2016):
I've been in contact with Gianvito Rossi and they have confirmed that Kate wears their Gianvito 105 suede pumps in 'Praline'. This is the official name of the colour. Stockists such as Net-a-Porter have renamed the shade in their description, hence the confusion. As I suspected, all these shoes are actually the same hue!
A closer look at Kate's glamorous up-do.
I'll leave you with one of my favorite images from today's service. See you tomorrow for Trooping The Colour!
