The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived at Dublin Airport this afternoon for a three-day royal visit to the Republic of Ireland.
William and Kate then headed to Áras an Uachtaráin for an official welcome to Ireland from President Michael D. Higgins and Mrs Higgins.
... and from Bród the Bernese Mountain Dog!
Following the meeting, the Duke and Duchess had a moment of reflection at the Garden of Remembrance in Dublin city centre, which is dedicated to those who gave their lives for Irish independence.
The royal couple then rang the Peace Bell which hangs from a central piece of oak, supported by two oak trunks - one from Co. Antrim and one from Co. Dublin - symbolising peace and reconciliation.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge concluded their daytime engagements at Government Buildings where they were received by the Taoiseach (Prime Minister) Leo Varadkar and his partner Matthew Barrett.
Later this evening, William and Kate will attend a reception at Guinness Storehouse’s Gravity Bar hosted by the British Ambassador to Ireland.
