The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived at Dublin Airport this afternoon for a three-day royal visit to the Republic of Ireland.
William and Kate then headed to Áras an Uachtaráin for an official welcome to Ireland from President Michael D. Higgins and Mrs Higgins.
... and from Bród the Bernese Mountain Dog! Following the meeting, the Duke and Duchess had a moment of reflection at the Garden of Remembrance in Dublin city centre, which is dedicated to those who gave their lives for Irish independence.
The royal couple then rang the Peace Bell which hangs from a central piece of oak, supported by two oak trunks - one from Co. Antrim and one from Co. Dublin - symbolising peace and reconciliation.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge concluded their daytime engagements at Government Buildings where they were received by the Taoiseach (Prime Minister) Leo Varadkar and his partner Matthew Barrett.
Later this evening, William and Kate will attend a reception at Guinness Storehouse’s Gravity Bar hosted by the British Ambassador to Ireland.

This is a very polished outfit with more than a subtle acknowledgement to her hosts. The pairing of bright and dark greens in the accessories lifts this to a memorable outfit. Duchess Kate looks stunning when she enters Áras an Uachtaráin as you see this very pretty dress with its pleated peplum in its entirety. The bright colour of the clutch is on point. Not many women could wear that peplum so well.

Yes, I saw someone claiming it was by Zara: https://www.zara.com/us/en/velvet-headband-p03920210.html

This outfit is beautiful, I love the way the shades of green come together. I love to see Kate wearing a headpiece again! Also, could you expand the hats/headbands section? Thanks!

A beautiful, elegant outfit. Love the double breasted coat, it fits and flows superbly, the addition of the buttons on point, the shade of green is glorious. A nice change to the military theme. The silk Peplum dress suits the Duchess perfectly, with her height it looks simply marvellous. The colour of the suede clutch and choice of shoes is excellent. Oh, those daisy diamond earrings are just divine. I am not a fan of headbands, but the Duchess's hair looks great this length.

without the coat I don’t like the outfit. The dress is so overwhelming in my opinion. I usually love everything she wears but this dress I just don’t like it. I do love the coat and earrings and obviously she still gorgeous even with the ugly dress.

Outfit is ok. Not terribly exciting. I love the big dog though! So fluffy and cute!

I have great respect for the Duchess of Cambridge. Her choice to wear the colour green for their first day in Ireland is very thoughtful and respectful. She takes her duty very seriously.

I don’t like the dress at all. The coat is beautiful. The dress is hideous.
