The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made an unannounced outing in Greenwich, southeast London today.
The royal couple were at the site of the historic Cutty Sark, the world’s sole surviving tea clipper, and once the fastest ship in the world to launch the inaugural King’s Cup sailing regatta.
To be held on August 9, Kate and William will go head to head as skippers of individual sailing boats, in an eight boat charity regatta race. The winning team will be awarded The King’s Cup, a historic trophy first presented by King George V in 1920.
Kate was aptly dressed in a nautical-inspired outfit for the launch of the regatta.
She debuted a navy and off-white striped knit top.
However, eagle-eyed Lauren points out that the rib detail does not match.
Kate teamed the striped sweater with a new pair of sailor-style trousers by L.K.Bennett - the brand’s ‘Parker’ pants (£150) - ID by @Japanese_Ginger. They are designed with a high waist, wide leg and decorative buttons on the front.
L.K.Bennett also offers a matching 'Parker' jacket featuring the same large buttons.
The Duchess stepped out in a new pair of navy suede pumps by Emmy London (ID by @MiddletonMaven via Twitter). They are the label's 'Josie' pointed court shoe with a modern block heel (£395).
She added a pop of colour with her lipstick red Emmy London 'Natasha' clutch bag, first worn with her Gucci tweed dress for a visit to the V&A Museum in June 2017.
Kate finished the look with her beloved Sapphire & Diamond Oval Drop Earrings.
