The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge joined the 1st Battalion Irish Guards at Cavalry Barracks in Hounslow today for the annual St. Patrick's Day parade.
Kate presented shamrocks to members of the regiment.
The Duchess also gave one to the Irish Guards mascot, Domhnall - an Irish wolfhound.
Kate was on point in a new custom green Alexander McQueen coat based off a military jacket from the designer's ready-to-wear collection. Thanks to @LadyParky79 for the information.
Here's a look at the back of the coat with peplum detail. It gives the illusion of separates.
The Duchess also donned a new hat, however the milliner is unknown.
In the photo below we see the Duchess handing her black Jenny Packham 'Roxy' clutch to her assistant.
We saw the return of the Cornelia James 'Imogen' Black Merino Wool Glove.
Kate wore her dazzling Kiki McDonough 'Special Edition' Green Tourmaline, Green Amethyst and Diamond Earrings.
The look wouldn't be complete without the gold three-leaf shamrock brooch, pinned just above her sprig of shamrock. The piece belongs to the Irish Guards who loan it to Kate for the occasion.
And finally, a closer look at Kate's elegant up-do.

This is a typical Kate outfit. I am under the impression that the coat looks a little too baggy on her, making for an unflattery silhouette. The hat is on point, I miss the headbands she used to wear a few months ago however.

Is this a long coat based on the image you posted...or a shorter jacket and skit combo..I can’t tell? Either way...I love it (green) and it is impeccably tailored.

This shade of green is splendid on Kate. I 💚 this outfit for Saint Patrick’s Day. Of all her great looks through the years, this is my favorite. Elegant, professional, and show stopping. A winner! Prince William looks fabulous as well.

This new very dark green coat is now my favorite, and through the years they have now put more fasters at neck and at the bottom of the coat to keep it closed for chill and wind. Kate is wearing a new green hat that resembles 🍀 that I love, it reminds me of the red hat she wore in 2012. A well planned outfit, beautiful.

Looking at the photos again, I am even more impressed. Kate’s posture and bearing are regal. William and Kate always look happy, smiling and laughing when interacting with people, and seem genuinely happy to be where they are.
