Kate in shimmering pink gown by The Vampire's Wife for Platinum Jubilee reception in Belize21/3/2022
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended a special reception this evening hosted by the Governor General of Belize in celebration of The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The event was held at the Mayan ruins at Cahal Pech and celebrates the very best of Belizean culture.
The Duchess stepped out in a shimming pink gown by The Vampire's Wife.
The silhouette is based on the brand's 'The Light Sleeper' dress ($2,216) currently available in a variety of floral prints. The gown features flutter sleeves and an accentuated waist, with a flared, floor-sweeping hemline.
Kate had a long belt added to the custom design.
The fabric appears to be metallic chiffon - similar to the 'Falconetti' dress Kate has previously worn by the same brand.
Tonight, The Duchess carried a Mayan embroidered clutch in white and black.
The clutch was a gift and embroidered by southern Belize label Xe‘il Belize.
On her feet were the Jimmy Choo 'Mimi 100' Antracite Metallic Sandals.
Kate wore her O'nitaa Crystal Drop Earrings.
Tomorrow, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will head to Jamaica to continue the royal tour across the Caribbean.

I usually love her outfits but this time she was WAY overdressed. The "reception" is outside and William is not even wearing a tie, and all the other women are in what I would describe as "Dressy Casual" or at the most, cocktail dresses. The Duchess of Cambridge is wearing an evening gown that touches the grass. I can't help but think that either, A) she didn't like the original dress's print and wanted to change it to something she liked better but didn't realize how formal it would look, or B) she thought this "reception" would be something like the ones she usually attends back in Buckingham Palace. I don't know which.

A fabulous tour dress, an absolute classic, one that catches all the headlines and cheers up fans the world over. I really like the Vampire's Wife metallic fabric and it adds just the right amount of sparkle for the semi-informal setting of an outdoor reception in the darkest jungle. It's also an edgy fabric which upgrades the classic princessy full skirt and ruffles, the sleeves are a great form of decoration in themselves. A win from me!

The Duchess looked totally glamorous in this gown. I don't like metallic fabric or flutter sleeves, so I am not a fan of this gown. Regardless of my tastes, the style looks fabulous and suits the Duchess well. The shoes look great and the earrings work in well. Her hair looked fabulous styled in this way.

Great but overdressed for the occasion. William's not even wearing a tie and all the other women are in cocktail dresses.

I'm not usually a fan of the Vampire's Wife, but I think this dress is beautiful. The ruffles at the shoulders are balanced with the simplicity of the rest of the dress. The Duchess looks lovely. The shoes are perfect,. I was not sure about the clutch but she is a master at honouring her hosts.
