Today we got our first glimpse of the Duchess of Cambridge in the new year!
Prince William and Kate joined Her Majesty and Prince Phillip for Sunday service at the church of St Mary Magdalene on the Queen's Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.
The royal family were also accompanied by Kate's sister and brother-in-law, as well as William's long-time friend James Meade and his wife. Pippa wore The Fold's 'Clarendon' navy coat and a fedora by Jess Collett.
The Duchess rugged up in her brown Moloh 'Turpin' Tweed coat, first worn Christmas Day 2014. The piece is from the 2013 autumn/winter collection and below is a brief description of the coat as featured in February 2013 Belgravia Residents’ Journal.
Kate carried the Chanel quilted handbag, first seen in Paris last March, and on her feet were the trusty Tod's Burgundy Fringed Leather Pumps.
She wore her Sapphire & Diamond Oval Drop Earrings.
Kate accessorized with fur elements, adding another alpaca hat to her collection. It appears to be the Lacorine 'Sumac' style in chocolate brown (£187.50).
The Duchess completed the look with a new pair of the fur-trimmed gloves. They are the Cornelia James ‘Clementine’ style (£85) in chocolate brown. The wrist-length gloves are 100% merino wool and trimmed with faux fur.
This is the third consecutive year the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge have attended the January Sunday Service. On all three occasions Kate has opted for repeats. In 2016 she wore a Michael Kors plaid skirt suit, and last year she donned her forest green Sportmax coat.
Kate will celebrate her 36th birthday on Tuesday and she'll resume her royal duties the following day when she makes a solo visit to the Reach Academy Feltham.
