The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended a dinner hosted by the Governor General of Jamaica at King's House this evening.
The Duchess looked glamorous in an emerald green off-the-shoulder gown by Jenny Packham. Here's look at the dress from different angles.
The custom piece is based on the designer's 'Wonder' glitter tulle maxi dress ($5025).
There is also a similar illusion-neck style in black.
Tonight, The Duchess donned the Royal Family Order of Queen Elizabeth II, and the Star of the Royal Victorian Order (GCVO).
Kate wore emerald jewels from the royal collection.
According to Harper's Bazaar, the emeralds once belonged to Queen Mary's grandmother, and were made into jewelry at the request of Queen Mary for the Delhi Durbar. However, @britishroyaljewels believes the emerald tassel parure may have been a gift to The Queen from Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates, and was first worn by Her Majesty in 1989. It consists of a necklace, earrings, bracelet, and ring. Below we see The Queen wearing the emerald set in 2004 for a royal gala.
Tomorrow, The Duke and Duchess depart Jamaica to continue their third and final leg of the Caribbean royal tour in The Bahamas.

Kate is the mistress of glamour here and I admire how the standard Packham column design Kate favours has been quietly upgraded with a fuller skirt, and even a mini train, and with the distinctive neck frill. I love how the jagged edges of the crumpled tulle take on the conventional prettiness and freshen it right up. Kate’s hair is incredible and the royal bling wonderful

This is a beautiful ball gown and looks exceptional. The colour is gorgeous and suits the Duchess superbly The drag hem at the back, not overdone, perfect. The skirt has enough volume, with the nipped in waist. In photos every angle of the gown is perfection. Her hair looks fabulous, beautifully and intricately styled at the back. Makeup is really well done. The diamond and emerald earrings and bracelet, was a splendid choice. Earrings especially look marvellous, with her long neck, she carried this off wonderfully.

I have mixed feelings about this dress. The duchess looks beautiful and the jewellery is perfect. I am not a person that loves too many frills, so this dress doesn't really work for me. I would have preferred the Jenny Packman dress the Duchess wore in Pakistan and recently in the UK. I also think the recycling of the dress would have been nice for this impoverished culture.
