The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge flew into Cyprus this afternoon to visit RAF Akrotiri and meet serving personnel spending Christmas away from their families.

The royal couple delivered letters and gifts received from their families at yesterday’s Kensington Palace party.
Today's visit came with a surprise in the sartorial department. Kate ditched her signature ultra-feminine look for a professional ensemble consisting of a pair of wide leg trousers.
KATE'S OUTFIT
PANTS: Jigsaw High Waisted Sport Luxe Trousers (£130).
JACKET: Smythe 'Duchess' wool blazer in Army green (US$695). First worn in 2016 during Canadian royal tour. TOP: Ivory scoop neck knit tee (unidentified). HANDBAG: LK Bennett 'Dora' Khaki Suede Clutch (£175). 
BELT: Green croc-embossed belt with gold-tone buckle. First seen teamed with her Hobbs London Pine Green 'Persephone' Trench Coat at the 2014 St Patrick’s Day parade at Mons Barracks, and again in 2016 for arrival in Whitehorse, Canada. The piece remains unidentified. EARRINGS: Asprey London Oak Leaf Small Hoop Earrings (repeat).
WATCH: Cartier Ballon Bleu Watch (repeat).

Just last week I commented that I thought Kate's style was suffering from arrested development following her juvenile look for the University College London visit. And today, BOOM! Here she is looking grown up and wearing trousers! Well done Kate! She looks great in trousers so let's hope this trend continues!
