The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made an unannounced visit to BBC Radio 1 today.
Their unexpected visit was setup as a surprise for a Radio 1 DJ, Adele Roberts who is running the London Marathon this Sunday in support of the Heads Together campaign, spearheaded by William, Kate and Prince Harry.
While at the studios, William and Kate got time to pre-record the station's official chart show rundown.
Today's surprise visit also come with a surprise in the sartorial department. Kate ditched her signature skinny jeans for a classic pair of bootcut trousers. Many of us have been hoping to see Kate professionalize her casual wear, and it looks like our prayers have been answered! This is a fashion breakthrough for the Duchess!
She teamed the tailored pants with black pointed-toe boots and a new cream knit sweater. Kate wore the Temperley London Cypre Pointelle Frill Top (US$550) - a slim-fit garment featuring a ruffled mock neck, tiered ruffled bodice and flared cuffs.
It is from the British designer's Pre-Fall 2017 collection and will be available in stores and online in June.
What do you think of Kate's breakthrough to tailored trousers?
