The Duchess of Cambridge carried out the most heartwarming event of Royal Visit Scotland this afternoon when she hosted 5-year-old Mila Sneddon and her family for tea at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
You may recall the Duchess spoke with Mila last autumn after her photograph was chosen to feature in the Hold Still project - hoping one day that they’d meet and wear their pink dresses together.
Kate stayed true to her word and greeted Mila in a bubblegum pink ME+EM Colour Block Silk Shirt Dress ($695). The 100% silk dress has a classic shirt collar and button front with full-length sleeves. Design elements include a pleated front panel and a dipped hem in the back. A removable belt allows the waist to be cinched in for a fitted look. The Duchess opted to remove the belt and replace it with Boden’s Skinny Suede Belt ($55) in a colour called lollipop.
Kate coordinated the look with a new pair of Emmy London 'Rebecca' suede pumps in the Pink Makeup colourway ($475).
The Missoma Rhodochrosite Gold Mini Pyramid Charm Hoop Earrings complemented the outfit.
Kate wore the Amaia Reusable cotton face mask in Pink Betsy (£15).
Some footage of today's engagement was shared via Kensington Palace along with a video as Mila is told she is going to meet the Duchess!
Mila clearly enjoyed the day :)

I love everything about this event and I don’t usually like pink at all but I love this dress and the accessories on her.

The Duchess looks lovely in this outfit, I am not normally a fan of this colour palate pink, in this case it looks great. Love the earrings. The sediment behind the wearing of this outfit is beautiful.

God bless the Duchess for keeping her promise and making Mila smile and feel like a princess! I pray Mila will return to full health and grow to be a strong lady.
