The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the intimate christening of their nephew, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor in the Private Chapel at Windsor Castle on Saturday. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared an official family portrait from their son's special day.
In the photo we see Kate wore her salmon pink Stella McCartney pussy bow dress most recently seen at the Queen's 2018 Pre-Christmas luncheon.
As noted then, the details look very similar to the Stella McCartney dress she wore to Prince Philip's 90th birthday dinner in June 2011, however the fabric does not have the same sheen.
What Kate Wore notes that the pleats and hemline also appear to have a crisper finish compared to the satin dress worn in 2011. The consensus is the dress is the same style but rendered in a matte fabric.
Kate's headwear is a piece by Juliette Botterill Millinery which appears to have been modified into a headband. The original straw pillbox hat (£450) has a silk abaca pleated detail edging.
UPDATE: Juliette Botterill released the silk abaca plaited band in her AW19 collection with a retail price of £340.
She coordinated the hat with her red suede Gianvito Rossi pumps.
The Duchess finished the outfit with a tribute to Princess Diana. She wore the Collingwood pearl and diamond drop earrings which are believed to have been the same ones Diana wore for Prince Harry's Christening in 1984.

I love a good combination of pink and red and the Duchess of Cambridge didn't disappoint! Her dress is classic and understated, a seemingly timeless piece. It's not too short, she probably wasn't expecting to be photographed sitting down, but even then you can't see anything inappropriate so all is good. I love this style of headband, not too bulky and it suits the Duchess' look. The heels are a good match. The earrings are the sweetest touch on her behalf! William looks good too as usual. Always impeccably dressed, and he looks even better when compared to Harry's usual sloppy look.

The Duchess looks nice, but I am not a fan of the dress, it seems very mature looking. The colour suits her well. Love the shoes and colour. The earrings are really gorgeous. Headband a big miss for me. Great page.

Kate looks elegant, classy and regal as always. Love her overall look and how very thoughtful to wear Diana’s earrings which is the ultimate finishing touch detail and perfect for the occasion. Kate always presents herself beautifully with obvious thought to each individual event she attends.

I absolutely love Kate’s ability to be subtle and not overly dressed as to take the spotlight away from the main subjects. However, she’s so naturally beautiful and impeccably dressed that that’s impossible to achieve! I disagree with the comment that it looked matronly. I think that SHE knows and understands when a Royal Occasion must be treated with respect and reverence. As always, she looked lovely.

I don't like the dress. Shiny or not shiny. I hate the headband.
