The Prince and Princess of Wales joined King Charles III, Queen Camilla and other working royals at Buckingham Palace on Saturday afternoon for a Governors-General reception.
These representatives of the monarch from across the Commonwealth Realms have arrived in London to attend Queen Elizabeth II's State Funeral on Monday.
Kate wore an Emilia Wickstead midi dress - the 'Jorgie' style in black crepe.
The Princess accessorized with a three-strand pearl necklace which palace aides confirmed belonged to the late Queen. It appears to be the same one she wore to receive Her Majesty's coffin at Buckingham Palace. Queen Elizabeth II had a vast collection of three-strand pearl necklaces which Queen's Jewel Vault covers in more detail.
Kate also wore Her Majesty's pearl and diamond "Silver Jubilee" earrings which were originally loaned to the Duchess in 2016.
On Kate's right wrist was Princess Diana's Nigel Milne 3-Strand Pearl Bracelet.
On her feet were her trusty Gianvito Rossi 105 pumps in black suede.

The Princess, despite her grief is able to connect so effortlessly with guests. She is a rock and I bet the RF know how lucky they are to have her. I wish them much strength during this time. Also, thank you Elizabeth for quietly and respectfully updating your blog during this period of mourning. I noticed you haven’t been overly active on your socials with outfit details and I respect your restraint.
