The Prince and Princess of Wales visited Army Training Centre Pirbright on Friday to meet with troops from the Commonwealth who have been deployed to the UK to take part in the state funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Soldiers from Canada, Australia and New Zealand have gathered at Pirbright to rehearse their roles in the ceremony.
William and Kate met senior representatives of the defence staff and servicepeople from each nation to thank them all for the part they are playing in marking the death of the Queen.
The princess looked dignified wearing her black Catherine Walker military-inspired midi coat.
Thanks to Ann who left a comment reminding me she first wore the piece for the Remembrance Sunday service in 2020. For today's outing, Kate had the tassels removed from the epaulettes.
She paired the coat with her black Lock & Co 'Abney' Hat.
Kate debuted the Russell & Bromley '100Point' blade heel pumps, and carried her black Mulberry 'Amberley' handbag.
The princess honored the late Queen by wearing Her Majesty's pearl and diamond "Silver Jubilee" earrings which were originally loaned to Kate in 2016.

You're welcome, sorry, I said "ruffles", English is not my mother tongue, at least you understood me, 🫣

It is nice to see the entire outfit since when it was last worn we could only see it from the waist. up. It does look the fringe has been removed. Again, perfection.
