The Prince and Princess of Wales attended the Diplomatic Reception this evening at Buckingham Palace.

Hosted by King Charles III for the first time as monarch, the annual white-tie soirée is one of the most formal events on the royal calendar.
Over 1,000 people from around 130 countries, including members of the British government and past Prime Ministers attend the gathering.
The Princess looked regal in a red Jenny Packham 'Elodie' Gown.
The $5,040 long sleeve dress is from the British designer's Pre-Fall 2019 collection.
It features a tonal floral bead & sequin motif throughout.
Kate donned the Lotus Flower Tiara which she complemented with the late Queen's diamond orbital earrings.
The Princess wore the Royal Victorian Order sash and badge, along with the Maltese Cross.
You may recall the Duchess of Cambridge was appointed Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order in April 2019 by The Queen for services to the Sovereign.
Kate pinned her recently acquired Bentley & Skinner Art Deco Diamond Set Brooch to the sash.
Affixed to the left side of her dress was the Royal Family Order of Queen Elizabeth II which the Duchess was awarded in 2017.

Such a stunning look from Kate, I love the floral link-up from the dress pattern to the Lotus tiara. I'm impressed at such a sultry colour too, coupled with the oriental hint in the tiara. Jenny Packham delivered the goods again.

So happy to see the Lotus tiara again! It frames Kate's face perfectly and I love the way she wore her hair down and parted. The stunning gown is a work of art and a quintessential JP design. I winning look IMO

Love this so much! Having her hair down is much prettier than the tight style at the state dinner last week. Gorgeous all the way around!

The Princess of Wales looks exquisite. The gown is a work of art, gorgeous rich pop of color. The Lotus tiara looks splendid, her hair down, works beautifully. Love the diamond brooch, lovely to see it again. Her diamond earrings look divine. Her makeup and hair are perfect.
