The Princess of Wales visited the Reading Ukrainian Community Centre in Reading, England to meet Ukrainian families displaced by the war.

I feel like she could have easily re-worn one of her many polka dot dresses.

I think she was especially conscious of adopting the yellow and blue of the Ukraine flag, and none of her other polka dot dresses have that. The polka prints she has worn this summer amuse me with how different each one is, it's a current fashion, and Kate has really worked it. I do hear you about how often she has used it, though.

I love seeing Kate wear this Max & Co camel coat as an open edge-to-edge, I think it looks very swish. It's a great upgrade from trying to wear her double-breasted Massimo Dutti the same way as that style can't hang so well.

It's also great fun that Kate has come back to LKBennett again, and with a shirtwaister sporting both spots and knife pleats they've pretty much hit on three Kate's style faves in one go. It's hard to believe the dress is navy, it looks so brown in photos, especially under the camel, but embodying the Ukraine flag colours of yellow and navy is a diplomatic coup for this moving visit.

I like the styling of the dress bodice as well. It's buttoned up, but with a touch of pizzazz via the use of translucent fabric, a little bit cheeky on the chest, with the underslip clearly visible. A little light let in plays with any prim stuffiness.

I love how Kate has achieved a high-class look in keeping with her recent upgrade in status to Princess of Wales, while still using repeats and high street. Hooray for the repeat trusty Jaegar quilted bag, Gianvito Rossi 105 pumps, and the ever lovely Annoushka drops with Kiki hoops.

This is a pretty dress, but I don't like the blue detail incorporated with it. Nor do I like the blue belt and shoes,, regardless the Princess looks lovely. The coat I love. The pearl earrings are a lovely addition.

The dress looks to be brown with cream spots at first glance. I didn't appreciate till reading Bertie's comments above that the colours were of the Ukranian flag. It's a good design for a shirtwaisted dress and looks formal enough for the occasion. When I initially saw this dress, I assumed it was a rewear of the one Duchess Catherine wore on the first day of the new schoolterm with her children - September 2022. As noted above, the coat suits being worn in the open style.

It's good to see several examples of Ukrainian embroidery worn by the local community for this visit.
