The Princess of Wales visited the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust mental health programme at the Percy Community Centre in Bath today as part of her Mental Health Awareness Week engagements.
The Dame Kelly Holmes Trust is a youth development charity that helps young people aged 11-25 who are facing challenges in their lives. The Trust pairs world-class athletes with young people to help them develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed.
During her visit, The Princess spent time with students from St Katherine’s School in Bristol taking part in a mental health program led by Paralympic gold medalist Liz Johnson. The students shared their experiences and challenges, and how working with a mentor helped them build resilience and promote positive mental health.
A clip was later shared by Platform Rail via Twitter showing the Princess heading to catch a train back home to London after the event.
