Royal Tour Day 2: Kate wears Indian-Inspired Temperley separates for Queen's birthday bash in New Delhi
This evening, the Duke and Duchess attended a birthday party for Her Majesty The Queen at the residence of the British High Commissioner.
The garden party was attended by diplomats, politicians, business leaders and academics as a chance to celebrate the links between the UK and India, and for all present to toast The Queen ahead of her 90th birthday next week.
The Duke & Duchess were handed a sword to cut the first slice of the flag cake.
The Duke used the occasion to personally pay tribute to his grandmother with a speech to the invited guests.
Kate exuded bohemian elegance, wearing a two-piece outfit from one of favorite designer's, Temperley London. The 'Delphia' separates are from Temperley's Spring 2016 collection which "celebrates global curiosities."
The 'Delphia' top (£830) has a contemporary cut with sheer shoulders and a short sleeve. The top is cropped at the natural waist and made from 100% nylon with a silk-blend lining. The matching
'Delphia' skirt (£1,705) is cut in an a-line maxi silhouette and made from 100% silk with a silk-blend lining.
Both pieces feature intricate embroidery motifs of Indian Chintz and lattice, and are detailed with light-catching crystals.
In the stock photo below, Net-a-Porter accessorized the Temperley separates with Gianvito Rossi Suede Sandals, so I wonder if Kate did the same?
ID UPDATE (14/04/2016)
Kate's shoes have been identified as the Gianvito Rossi Crisscross Ankle-Wrap Suede Sandals.
In addition to a new pair of shoes, Kate also carried a new clutch. The minaudiere was identified by @RomanceRoyal as the Prada black satin clutch with stone embellishment (US$1470).
Tonight, Kate wore her in a half-updo, revealing a pair of statement chandelier earrings.
The costume earrings date back to 2007 and they have also been spotted on Pippa. Countess Wessex Blog believes they are from British retailer, Accessorize.
Tomorrow, the Duke & Duchess will continue their visit in the country's capital. They will meet with a charity supporting vulnerable young people in New Delhi, followed by a meeting with senior government leaders.
