This evening, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended a reception at Government House in Victoria, hosted by the Province of British Columbia.
Kate dazzled in a 1950's inspired red cocktail dress by London fashion label Preen by Thornton Bregazzi, making this a designer debut for the Duchess.
She wore the brand's 'Finella' midi dress (£1,000), a piece from Preen's Pre-AW16 collection. The frock is crafted from heavyweight satin, and has a classic fit-and-flare silhouette that's elevated with a wide asymmetric neckline, front pleated wrap, and box pleats at the skirt.
For the second time since touching down in Canada on Saturday, Kate wore Queen Elizabeth's diamond Maple Leaf Brooch, paying tribute to the host nation's emblem through her jewellery.
Kate accessorized with a new Jenny Packham 'Casa' clutch rendered in red pony hair.
It's also avilable in an ink blue pony hair from Singapore based retailer Laprendo.com.
You may recall that the Duchess also owns this style in silver/gold which she carried to the James Bond movie premier last year.
Kate wore her Gianvito Rossi red suede pumps, which she debuted for the Garter Day service in June this year.
Kate's glamorous up-do was enhanced by her Soru Jewellery Baroque Pearl Double Sided earrings.
The reception at the grand house where the Cambridges are staying was attended by 200 leaders in British Columbia's legislature, government and judiciary.
Before the reception William & Kate joined around 25 guests, including First Nations representatives, in the drawing room for a reconciliation ceremony between indigenous people and the government. Assisted by two Indian chiefs, Prince William added a ring of reconciliation to the Black Rod, a ceremonial staff used on formal occasions when the monarch or her provincial representative, the Lieutenant Governor, is present in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia.
The Duke and Duchess have another busy day lined up tomorrow. They will fly to Kelowna, a city in the beautiful Okanagan Valley before leaving British Columbia for the territory of Yukon where they will stay overnight in Whitehorse.

Looking great in asymmetrical dress is not always easy. Kate pulls off a great look.
