Kate in Alexander McQueen military separates for visit to Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre11/2/2020
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge joined the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall for a visit to the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) Stanford Hall in Loughborough.
The state-of-the-art Ministry of Defence clinical rehabilitation facility, provides expert care and support for wounded, injured and sick Armed Forces personnel.
The Duchess choose a navy custom outfit by Alexander McQueen today, perhaps as a quite tribute on the 10 year anniversary of the fashion designer's death. The wool-blend separates appear to be based on a ready-to-wear set from Alexander McQueen's Pre-Fall '17 collection (ID by @HeavenQRF).
The military-inspired peplum jacket in light wool silk is decorated with metal buttons on the waist and collar. It has a concealed button fastening on center front. Kate had the pleated midi skirt modified by removing the buttoned peplem detail.
The Duchess wore a similar silhouette in green for the 2019 St Patrick's Day parade.
Kate carried a new bag - the Alexander McQueen 'Wicca' mini satchel in black leather. She also owns this model in white leather, and raffia.
This particular style has been discontinued, however the 'Wicca' bag is currently available in black leather with a pipe trim at Net-a-Porter.
On her feet, the Duchess wore her black suede Ralph Lauren Collection High Heel Boot.
Kate accessorized the look with her Mappin & Webb 'Empress' Diamond Carriage Earrings.

I think this is a fitting dress for the event, but the whole color scheme is a little dark for me.

The proportion between the jacket and the skirt is wrong. A longer jacket or a less fitted skirt would look more flattering. Accessories are pretty and appropriate.

I feel the same way... I feel the silhouette not the best especially for Kate and her tall and beautiful figure

I love the Duchess of Cambridge's style and feel she usually always gets her fashion style right. The overall look is great and very appropriate for the occasion. I love the Alexander McQueen suit (I even have replica of the original McQueen skirt), but I wonder if the fit of the jacket is not quite right. I would be interested in other people's thought's.

I'm not feeling this outfit. It's too dark and the proportions look wrong. The subtle military details are appropriate for the occasion but the done-up jacket makes her look closed off.

Not a fan of this outfit. Fit is all wrong at the top. The style of it is all wrong. It was too soon to do back to back navy. The navy coat from last outing was nice. This one big no. Look is way too severe.

A fantastic visit to the Defence Rehab centre, it would have been very uplifting for the staff and patients. This outfit is a rare miss for me. It looks very severe, stifled looking. Very tight jacket and waist to hip area of skirt, the fit is off, something not quite right. The idea was there. I quite like the colour but only last week the beautiful coat The Duchess wore a dark tone similar to this. The Wicca bag is gorgeous, a terrific addition.
