Following Kate's solo engagement with Mila Sneddon, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge reunited for the Closing Ceremony of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland at Assembly Hall in Edinburgh.
Prince William was appointed Lord High Commissioner to the General Assembly by Her Majesty The Queen as her personal representative. Today the Duke delivered the closing remarks.
Immediately following the Assembly, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended a Beating Retreat by The Massed Pipes and Drums of the Combined Cadet Force in Scotland at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
The royal couple were joined by the Sneddons for the final engagement of the Royal Visit to Scotland.
The Duchess wore a bespoke cornflower blue coat dress by Catherine Walker. Crafted of wool, the coat dress features princess seams, an off-center button front closure, notched lapels, a box pleated skirt, folded cuffs, and a self-belt. Kate carried a patterned scarf (unidentified) and the Strathberry Multrees Chain Wallet Clutch in Navy Embossed Croc ($355). You may recall the Duchess also owns this style in black.
On her feet were the Emmy London 'Rebecca' suede pumps in the Riviera Blue colourway.
We saw the return of the bouquet brooch and coordinating earrings. We first saw the earrings at the Royal Foundation Forum in February 2018, and the brooch debuted a month later at the Commonwealth Day Service. Their provenance remains unknown. Today Kate introduced the Kiki McDonough Apollo Blue Topaz Pendant Necklace (£1166.67). Set in 18ct yellow gold, the circular pendant features a central blue topaz stone, and four delicate diamonds.

This was a really hard choice so I can't pick just one! I really loved 3, 6, and 9! I especially love the story behind number 9!

It's outfit 10 for me. This particular silhouette and shade of blue say, "Spring!" to me.

I loved every outfit because they were all perfect for the event she attended. It's so good to have the royals conducting in-person engagements and tours again! I didn't realize how much I missed them until this tour. I loved checking your blog everyday to get the latest tour info! Thanks for all that you do Elizabeth and for maintaining this blog through the good and bad times.

NUMBER 6!!! I absolutely LOVE that dress on Duchess Kate! I would buy it if I had the height to pull it off. I own a lot of her looks, I have #8 cricket sweater :) She is so perfect!

This coat looks top heavy to me. I feel it needs balancing out with something more at the neckline. I imagine she would feel cold across the upper chest in this coat. I think she probably needed to wear the scarf she is carrying around her neck and worn inside the coat.
