This morning, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge undertook a set of engagements in South London, visiting two youth development organizations. This was Kate's last official engagement before she begins maternity leave for Baby Cambridge #2.
Their first stop was the Stephen Lawrence Centre in Deptford. The centre is home to a Charitable Trust that was set up in memory of Stephen Lawrence who was an aspiring architect but was tragically murdered at the age of 18 in an unprovoked racist attack. The trust helps many young people realise their ambitions to become architects by providing them with bursaries and mentoring support.
The royal couple where accompanied by Stephen's mother, Baroness Doreen Lawrence of Clarendon as they toured the building. The centre is a place for community learning and social research, inspiring and motivating young people. The space is also available for conferences, meetings, training and seminars.
After receiving a pretty bouquet, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge then visited two projects funded by XLP, a charity that works to empower young people to make positive life decisions.
Today, the Duchess was dressed in a fuchsia coat by Mulberry.
It is the second time that Kate has worn this Mulberry coat. The first was when the Cambridge's toured the World Trade Centre Memorial during their visit to New York City.
The Duchess accessorized with her favorite combination, carrying her black suede Mulberry 'Bayswater' clutch and with matching black ‘Power' pumps by Stuart Weitzman.
She again wore the KIKI Morganite cushion drop & diamond earrings.
In other news, on Thursday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge along with Prince Harry attended a memorial service for Richard Meade, triple Olympic gold-medalist. They were photographed by a bystander on their way to the Bath Abbey.
Kate wore the Beulah 'Chiara' wool trapeze overcoat, Stuart Weitzman Muse/Raz clutch and Alexander McQueen navy suede pumps. This is the same outfit she wore to the Afghanistan war commemoration service earlier this month. She changed up the look slightly, wearing her Annoushka pearl/Kiki hoop earrings and donning a new hat.
I always love when William and Kate do a joint engagement. Their chemistry is undeniable. As this was Kate's last public appearance before maternity leave, the next time we will see the royal couple together will be on the steps of the Lindo Wing!
Best wishes to our Duchess xo
