Tonight, the British Royal Family rolled out the red carpet for South Korea's President Yoon Suk Yeol and his wife Kim Keon Hee, who are on a three-day State visit to the United Kingdom.
King Charles III held a State banquet at Buckingham Palace in their honor, attended by the Prince and Princess of Wales and various members of the Royal family.
This was Kate's sixth State dinner, and tonight, she wore an elegant ivory gown by Jenny Packham featuring embroidered short drape sleeves.
The dress appears to be a customized version based on the designer's 'Anemone' gown ($4,834) from the Spring/Summer 24 resort collection, available in black and light pink. The gold floral embroidered beadwork on Kate's sleeves appears to be less intricate and detailed than that on the off-the-rack models.
Kate complemented the gown with matching custom Paula Rowan Montserrat Satin Opera Gloves and was seen carrying her ivory Anya Hindmarch Maud Pearl-Embellished Satin Clutch Bag.
Below we get a glimpse of her silver Gianvito Rossi 'Rania 105' Pumps.
The Princess wore the Royal Victorian Order sash and badge, along with the Maltese Cross.
Affixed to the left side of her dress was the Royal Family Order of Queen Elizabeth II.
We also saw the return of Queen Elizabeth II's diamond orbital pendant earrings.
The most significant detail of tonight's outfit was undoubtedly the Strathmore Rose Tiara, which had not been worn for nearly a century! This diadem, once owned by Queen Elizabeth (Queen Mother), was a wedding gift from her father, the Earl of Strathmore, when she, then Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, married the Duke of York, who later became King George VI, in 1923.
This tiara was crafted in the late 1800s and acquired from Catchpole & Williams. It showcases a garland of roses made from rose-cut diamonds, set in silver and gold. The pavé-set diamond roses are detachable and can be used as individual brooches. The tiara is designed with two different frames, allowing it to be worn either on top of the head or across the forehead in the bandeau style popular during the 1920s, as seen on Lady Elizabeth (shown below).
Below is a highlight reel from the State banquet:

I love your blog about HRH, Catherine, Princess of Wales. My request is very minor. Is it possible to know information about the beautiful opera length (I think) gloves the Princess wore to the State Banquet for the President and First Lady of South Korea please?

Hey Elizabeth , just wanted to say keep up the amazing work of your blog. You keep up to date so well! And your always so detailed. The research you do is amazing. Thank you so much. The Princess of Wales looked so beautiful and it's great that her and the other royal ladies raided the tiara vaults and wore ones not seen for ages. Hopefully they keep doing that!
