NEWS
This week, the Duchess of Cambridge has been spotted around town. There were reports she popped into the Humble Pie bakery in Burnham Market, a 40-minute drive from Amner Hall. According to locals she stocked up on some sweet treats, buying the Wicked Chocolate Biscuit Cake and sticky fruit loaf during her recent shopping trip.
Mid-week, there was some buzz on Twitter that Kate was spotted in Kings Lynn, Norfolk buying a printer and kitchen supplies from The Range. She reportedly wore a black top, beige trousers, black boot.
Yesterday, there was another sighting of Kate out shopping, wearing her Seraphine 'Marina' coat and Stuart Weitzman Zipkin boots. No details have yet emerged of where this was taken.
REPLIKATE ROUNDUP
Below are my favourite repliKate finds of the week ...
The Pied a Terre shoe brand was recently dissolved by Dune London, but it's pleasing to see that Dune London has continued to manufacturer similar styles to the 'Imperia' wedge. This season, Dune London released an excellent repliKate of the Imperia called 'Karley'. Giulia G. has kindly shared a detailed review of the 'Karely' wedge:
Here is my review about Dune London Karley Canvas Espadrille (in color black), the perfect replikate of Imperia Wedges from Pied a Terre. I ordered them from Amazon.it because I paid less than Dune official website. First I say that this is not a comparison because I don’t own Imperia wedges but a simple review about Karley wedges. They come very well packed with a lot of paper and a plastic stick to keep them in the right shape. They are sooo good in every details, canvas in pretty soft, no visible glue or not fixed seams, they are so comfy and size is true, so order your usual size and it will be perfect (this is my second pair of Dune shoes, my mum and dad ordered 3 or 4 pairs and they are all perfect). The inside part could appear rough but it’s so comfy. The price is pretty good 59£ (instead of 85£ for Imperia) and I got free shipping from Amazon.it. They are going to be my fav shoes for next summer, they could be elegant or casual at the same time, matched with a dress or a pair of jeans. So:
Care of details: 5 stars Size: True Packaging: 5 stars Comfort: 5 stars Price/quality: 5 stars Similarity to the original: 10/10 Global impression: 10/10 P.S on Dune website there is a one star review, don’t care and trust me, they are amazing

I was delighted to receive another review from Margaret. This week she road-tested a repliKate of the Mappin & Webb 'Empress' necklace.
Pretty much all of Kate's jewelry collection is beyond my reach so I am always looking for cheaper pieces that resemble hers. I purchased the Icz Stonez Sterling Silver Cubic Zirconia Medallion Necklace from Overstock.com (Thanks to Katescloset.com.au for the tip!) The brand name sounded cheesy and chintzy, but for less than $20 and with a nice picture, it seemed like a worthwhile gamble. I'm so pleased that I purchased it. It is beautiful and looks far more expensive than it was. It's a good everyday piece because it is lightweight and understated with just enough sparkle. I wear it all the time and it looks the same as when I purchased it. (I've even swam with it and exercised with it on.) So many cheaper jewelry pieces tarnish/rub off over time. This one is a winner.

A few weeks ago I posted a repliKate for the Zimmermann Roamer day dress from Dillards. Tiffany LeFevre snapped one up and was kind enough to write a review.
It finally arrived!! (Please forgive my post-work mess of a head, but I had to try the dress on immediately) This is the Zimmermann repliKate from Dillard's. It fits like a glove. I went by my measurements on their size chart, which was pretty much true to size. The skirt had more of an a-line fit than I thought it would, based on the website photo. I was very pleased with that because it looks very close to the real deal. It is lined, which is a plus. This could very possibly be my favorite repliKate purchase!
If you would like to submit a review of your recent repliKate purchase, please send an email to [email protected]. Please include a short review about the quality and fit, the product link, and photos (optional but recommended).

Hi Thalia, thanks for the comparison information between the Imperia and Karley wedges!

The Karly appears to have a better bottom than the Imperia. The Imperia's sole is strips of suede across the tip of the toe and at the heel with some clear stuff running between the patches of suede. A couple wears and my clear stuff is wearing off. Kate had to have had hers resoled to use them so much. I don't see mine lasting real long with such a chintsy sole. Comments are closed.
