Kate in shimmering pink gown by The Vampire's Wife for Platinum Jubilee reception in Belize21/3/2022
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended a special reception this evening hosted by the Governor General of Belize in celebration of The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The event was held at the Mayan ruins at Cahal Pech and celebrates the very best of Belizean culture.
The Duchess stepped out in a shimming pink gown by The Vampire's Wife.
The silhouette is based on the brand's 'The Light Sleeper' dress ($2,216) currently available in a variety of floral prints. The gown features flutter sleeves and an accentuated waist, with a flared, floor-sweeping hemline.
Kate had a long belt added to the custom design.
The fabric appears to be metallic chiffon - similar to the 'Falconetti' dress Kate has previously worn by the same brand.
Tonight, The Duchess carried a Mayan embroidered clutch in white and black.
The clutch was a gift and embroidered by southern Belize label Xe‘il Belize.
On her feet were the Jimmy Choo 'Mimi 100' Antracite Metallic Sandals.
Kate wore her O'nitaa Crystal Drop Earrings.
Tomorrow, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will head to Jamaica to continue the royal tour across the Caribbean.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge touched down in Belize this afternoon for the commencement of their 8-day Royal Tour of the Caribbean.
During the week, they will visit three Commonwealth countries – Belize, Jamaica and The Bahamas – on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II and her Platinum Jubilee year marking 70 years on the British throne.
Following an official welcome at Philip S. W Goldson International Airport, the royal couple went straight to a meeting with Prime Minister Johnny Briceno and his wife, Rosanna Briceno at the Laing Building.
The Duchess choose a blue lace dress by Jenny Packham for Day 1 of the Caribbean royal tour. The colour choice is perhaps a nod to the royal blue of the Belizean flag.
Featuring a low Chelsea collar, peaked shoulders, and peplum waist, this scalloped edge lace dress with black lining has similarities with the nude lace Jenny Packham garment she wore in 2016 for the Battle of Somme commemorations in France.
Kate complemented the dress with her sapphire & diamond oval drop earrings, and the matching pendant necklace.
She coordinated the look with a new scalloped top clutch and matching pumps.
The pumps are believed to be the Emmy London 'Rebecca' style in Cobalt blue.
I will update the post if the clutch is identified.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the Irish Guards St. Patrick's Day Parade on Thursday at Mons Barracks in Aldershot, England.
The Duchess presented the shamrock to Officers and Warrant Officers, alongside their mascot Seamus, the Irish wolfhound.
The couple then met members of the regiment - of which Prince William is Colonel - and posed for official photos.
Kate was on point today in a new dark emerald green military wool coat by Laura Green.
It is the 'Emilia' style (£3,200) featuring a midi length, single breasted front with navy leather buttons, structured dagger collar, epaulettes, and a matching wool buckle belt. With thanks to @innominate_93 for the ID.
This is the first occasion we have seen the Duchess wear a piece by the London based fashion designer whose collections epitomise contemporary couture with subtle notes of femininity. Below is a small sample of Laura Green designs I could also see Kate add to her closet.
Kate teamed the coat with a new green chapeau - the Lock & Co 'Mayfair' pillbox hat (£445).
The headpiece (shown below in black) is a reinvention of the classic pillbox hat featuring a knotted bow on the side. With thanks to @innominate_93 for the ID.
On her feet, Kate wore her Emmy London 'Rebecca' Pumps in Greenery Suede.
The Duchess wore her Emerald & Diamond Oval Earrings, and completed her St Patrick's Day look with the gold three-leaf shamrock brooch, pinned just above her sprig of shamrock. The piece belongs to the Irish Guards who loan it to the Duchess for the occasion.
And finally, a closer look at Kate's elegant up-do.
FASHION FLASHBACK
Green has been the colour of choice for Kate for this traditional event, except for when The Duchess surprised us in 2015 by wearing a chestnut brown Catherine Walker ensemble.
Note: The Duchess of Cambridge skipped the 2016 parade, and the 2020 & 2021 parades were canceled due to the pandemic.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge joined Prince Charles and Camila, The Duchess of Cornwall at Westminster Abbey on Monday for a multi-faith service to observe Commonwealth Day.
Commonwealth Day is held on the second Monday in March each year. It is a celebration of the Commonwealth of Nations which represents a global network of 54 countries working in collaboration towards shared economic, environmental, social and democratic goals.
For today's service in London, the Duchess debuted a sapphire blue Catherine Walker wool crepe coat.
The custom coat appears to take inspiration from the designer's 'Mayfair' style and is rendered in the hue of the 'Sapphire'. Kate's coat is modified with a velvet shawl collar.
She coordinated the coat with a new velvet hat by British milliner, Sean Barrett. The bespoke piece has a traditional pillbox design and is finished with a bow on the back.
The Duchess carried her Jimmy Choo 'Celeste S' Clutch in navy suede, and on her feet were her Rupert Sanderson 'Malory' Pumps also in navy suede.
Kate complemented the outfit with her sapphire & diamond oval drop earrings, and the matching pendant necklace.
FASHION FLASHBACK
Below is a look back at Kate's past Commonwealth Day ensembles since she first starting attending in 2015. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were absent in 2017, and the service was canceled in 2021 due to the pandemic. |
